it splits the photo in to packets of equal sizes
then it sends it onto network
the packet can take any rout to the internet
the will take it to the fastest
i google is the fastest
if the packet gets lost or it shuts down, TCP will alternative rout or resend the packet
when packet arrives, TCP will put them in correct order
face book will confirm receipt when the packets have arrived and it will be complete
this process happens in a few seconds.
